Alex Van Halen makes a shocking confession in his new memoir Brothers – that he believes he was “supposed to die first” before his brother Eddie.
He makes that claim in an audiobook excerpt released this week: “Outliving my little brother? This just wasn’t the plan. As the older brother, I was supposed to die first.”
He says he and Eddie shared “a bond and unconditional love that very few people ever experienced in a lifetime.”
Brothers will be out October 22nd. The audiobook includes the instrumental song “Unfinished”, the last piece of music Alex and Eddie recorded together.
