The Rolling Stones are the first band in Britain to gross a billion dollars.

The iconic band hit the milestone through years of live performances, over 250 million album sales, and strategic business partnerships with global giants like Microsoft and Mercedes.

Their concerts alone have also raked in $2 billion in ticket sales.

The landmark comes after the band released “Hackney Diamonds” their first album in 18 years earlier this month.

Ahead of the album’s release, the band released “Angry,” the first single off their new album, and “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” which features Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga.

Then, to celebrate the album’s release, the band held a surprise performance with Lady Gaga at the Racket NYC.

Lead singer Mick Jagger joked that doing another New York launch was part of the motivation for making the new record saying, “We were missing the launches so much we had to go back and make another album.”

The band closed with an appearance by Lady Gaga for “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”
