Corey Taylor has done a LOT over the years, but what about an acoustic album?
According to the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman, it would be too easy.
“Pretty much everything I write starts out acoustically, even the really heavy, riffy stuff,” Taylor said. “I know if I can make I sound good on an acoustic, it’ll sound killer on an electric guitar. I could write an entire album in a day, I just find it so stupidly inspiring. It’s probably why I haven’t written an entirely acoustic album yet; I could do it so quickly it’s not a challenge.”
Corey Taylor’s next solo album, “CFM2,” will be out on September 15th. Taylor also announced solo U.S. tour dates for the late summer and early fall.
Things will kick off in Denver on August 25th and wrap up at Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival on October 7th. Wargasm, Oxymorrons, and Luna Aura will serve as supporting acts for the dates.
