Rock drummer Vinny Appice, gave his thoughts on the band Pantera reuniting to perform.

The Pantera worldwide tour will feature surviving members Philip Anselmo (vocals), Rex Brown (bass), Zakk Wylde (guitar), and Charlie Benante (drums).

Appice, who formerly played with Brown in Kill Devil Hill, said “People love the music; people love to hear it. So I’m happy they’re doing it this way. I think they waited; they could have [done] it earlier. But I think it’s great.”

“I love Rex. Rex is a great, badass bass player. He blew out more amps than I ever have seen in my life. [He would] plug it in at rehearsal places, and he blew ’em out.” Appice continued, “He goes, ‘Don’t say anything. Let’s get out of here.’”

The group will perform as the headliners at several big festivals in South America, Asia, North America, and Europe.
