Yes is recording their third album in less than five years, keyboardist Geoff Downes confirms.
Downes says they’ve been working on the new record “for the past six months.”
Guitarst Steve Howe produced two new LPs in quick succession, 2021’s The Quest and 2023’s Mirror in the Sky, both Top 30 U.K. hits.
Long-time drummer Alan White died in 2022 and founding bassist Chris Squire died in 2015, but Yes has continued touring with Squire’s replacement Billy Sherwood and second drummer Jay Schellen.
Downes recently relaunched Asia without Howe and drummer Carl Palmer, headlining U.S. dates last summer and returning to the road in April for entire-album shows in the U.K.
