Iron Maiden will release an official documentary in autumn 2025 to celebrate their 50th anniversary, featuring input from current and former members of the band as well as famous fans like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Gene Simmons.
The documentary will showcase rare archive footage along with new animated sequences featuring their mascot Eddie.
It also includes the final interview with the band’s original singer Paul Di’Anno, who passed away in 2024.
The film will be directed by Malcolm Venville. Iron Maiden manager Ron Smallwood said the doc will “excite not only music fans but also anyone who loves a story of an underdog beating the odds.”
Iron Maiden will kick off the European leg of their ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour in Hungary at the end of May, followed by a UK run of five dates at the end of June.
