The film “New Year’s Rev” is a road trip coming-of-age comedy inspired by the pop-punk band Green Day.

The movie is described as a “rowdy and mischievous jaunt across the country filled with adventures, based on the exploits of Green Day and their years of living in a tour van.”

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong expressed the camaraderie and excitement of touring with a band, stating, “Van days rule. You will drive all night on no sleep, then play a show for 10 kids in the basement of a friend of a friend’s house 50 miles east of anywhere you’ve ever heard of.”

The film is written and directed by Lee Kirk and features actors Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Ignacia Diaz-Silverado, and Keen Ruffalo.
