Primus is looking for a replacement drummer for Tim “Herb” Alexander, who recently abruptly quit the band to prioritize his family and health.
But that didn’t stop the band from performing at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California on Monday.
Their drummer for the show was Bryan “Brain” Mantia, who’d previously played with them after Alexander’s original departure in 1996.
Also on stage were musicians from Les Claypool’s side projects, Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and The Holy Mackerel, who performed as openers, and then joined the stage once more during Primus’ encore.
