ZZ Top legend Billy Gibbons was honored with a “Billy Gibbons Day” by his hometown of Las Vegas on Sunday, December 22.
Las Vegas mayor pro tem Brian Knudsen presented Gibbons with the proclamation at City Hall on behalf of the Las Vegas City Council.
The proclamation notes Gibbons’ many accomplishments: selling 50 million records with ZZ Top, winning three MTV Video Music Awards, being named one of Rolling Stone’s 100 greatest guitarists of all time, and being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.
