When Judas Priest announced their upcoming ‘Shield of Pain’ tour, fans thought it might be a reference to the band’s 1990 album Painkiller. Turns out they were right!
In a post Wednesday, Judas Priest confirmed they would “Celebrate 35 years of ‘Painkiller’” on the tour, with a “rare unique set including beloved classics”.
Painkiller was Judas Priest’s final album with lead singer Rob Halford, before parted ways for more than a decade, eventually returning in 2003.
So far, only European dates have been announced for the ‘Shield of Pain’ tour.
