Pink Floyd’s final album was 2014’s The Endless River. But guitarist David Gilmour says he was “bullied by the record label” into releasing it.
In an interview with the L.A. Times, Gilmour said the mostly-instrumental album was “never intended” as a proper Pink Floyd album, but a “collection of all these bits and pieces of jams”.
He admits it was a “mistake” to put the album out without being more clear about what it was.
Pink Floyd recently sold the rights to its song catalog for a whopping $400 million.
