Linkin Park’s reunion is now in full swing with new vocalist Emily Armstrong filling in for the late Chester Bennington.
Although lots of people are stoked about it all, plenty of others are not including Bennington’s family.
Bennington’s oldest son Jaime accused Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda of “quietly [erasing] my father’s life and legacy.”
Bennington’s mother Susan Eubanks apparently feels the same.
In an essay published by Rolling Stone, Eubanks said that she felt “betrayed” by Linkin Park’s decision to hire Armstrong.
She told the magazine that the band promised to notify her if they reunited, but she found out the news online, just like everyone else.
She wrote that she felt the members of Linkin Park were “trying very hard to erase the past,” and that hearing Armstrong singing her son’s songs was “hurtful.”
