After the initial 53-man roster is set, the next priority for teams is their practice squad. On Wednesday, the 49ers revealed their practice squad. The following announcement comes from the team. They have signed the following 16 players to the team’s practice squad:

The 49ers did, however, lose a few players to waivers that they had hoped to retain. The Arizona Cardinals claimed two offensive linemen in tackle Ilm Manning and interior offensive lineman Keith Ismael.
Perhaps the most frustrating departure is undrafted rookie corner D’Shawn Jamison. Jamison was a standout in camp and flashed some return ability to boot, but he was left out of the roster and claimed by the Carolina Panthers.
The 49ers did not claim any players to their roster.
