Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme shared he was diagnosed with cancer in 2022.
Homme didn’t say what kind of cancer he had, but the cancer has since been removed, and he is recovering.
He said, “Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know? I’m extremely thankful that I’ll get through this, and I’ll look back at this as something that’s f*cked up — but will have made me better. I’m cool with that. There’s a lot of stuff I want to do. And there’s a lot of people I want to do that with.”
Homme’s cancer diagnosis came during his messy divorce from the Distillers’ Brody Dalle and the custody battle for their three children.
Queens of the Stone Age will release their latest album “In Times New Roman…” on June 16th and will go on a North American tour through the fall.
The tour kicks off in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and wraps up at the Aftershock Festival at Discovery Park in Sacramento on Sunday, October 8th, 2023.
