Former Blink-182 Guitarist Matt Skiba Forms Punk Rock Supergroup Lektron

Former Blink-182 guitarist and Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba has started a new punk rock supergroup.

The band is called Lektron, and includes members of AFI, Angels & Airwaves, and Against Me! Randy Moore, Hunter Burgan, and Atom Willard all join Skiba in Lektron.

The band released two songs on Monday, “Dirty Jacks” and “She’s a War” with Asian Man Records. The songs will be released on a 12″ vinyl single soon, as well as an album and tour. The preorder for the Lektron bundle or two copies of 12″ vinyl and two shirts as well as the Lektron vinyl of two copies of 12″vinyl are sold out. Fans cans still pre-order Lektron shirts; all orders will be sent out on July 1st.

Lektron “Draws influence from its members’ respective projects as well as bands like Fugazi, Joy Division and Brainiac,” explains a press release.

Skiba spent seven years with Blink-182, but recently lost the gig when the band reunited with Tom DeLonge.
