The offensive line is adding another tackle.
With Jaylon Moore sidelined with a lower leg strain, the 49ers offensive line is a bit shorthanded.
According to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, the team is bringing in veteran tackle Jordan Mills.
Mills is a 31-year-old journeyman who has more combined experience than the majority of the 49ers’ offensive line reserves.
A fifth-round pick in 2013 by the Chicago Bears, he was a starter for the overwhelming majority of his first five years in the league, starting 82 games for the Bears and Buffalo Bills. He’s played in 100 career games, starting 87 of them.
He had a knee injury with the Cardinals in 2019 and spent 2020 bouncing around practice squads before the Saints gave him an opportunity in 2021. He had a 47.8 grade from PFF in 2021.
