Two members of the bay area band Tower of Power were critically injured after being hit by a train on Thursday night in Oakland. Drummer David Garibaldi and bassist Marc Van Wageningen were struck by an Amtrak at Jack London Square. Both were rushed to Highland Hospital and Wageningen was in intensive care as a result of the accident.
Tower of Power was scheduled to perform two shows at Yoshi’s on Thursday but they both were canceled. The rest of the tour remains in question.
