Lars Ulrich was born in Gentofte, Denmark and moved to Los Angeles when he was sixteen. When asked about his citizenship, he told Denmark’s Ekstra Bladet that he is still Danish, lives and pays taxes in the U.S., but can’t vote. He went on to say about the election:

“I’ll stick to my Danish passport. If Trump becomes President and everything goes to shit, I might make my way to the airport and ask if I can get back in again.”

With 50/50 chances, we hope he jokes.
