Stalking in the 21st century is a new ball game, and David Lee Roth of “Van Halen” can now attest to that. It’s not the first time the rocker has experienced problems with…clingy…fans. He claims in a recent blog post that he’s even dealt with an entire biker group calling him up to 40 times a day and following him around in public. To another extreme, his father has experienced attempted kidnap at gunpoint. Even so, Roth is concerned that “this stalker is particularly obsessed”.

“As it was explained to me by the professionals, these calls are designed to make you terrified, nervous, afraid, upset and ruin your day,” he shares in the post. But it isn’t 1977 anymore, and now Roth has a cell phone on him constantly that has been flooded with 75 calls from the same unidentified caller. And he’s taken to the internet to ask for help finding the perp.

“Somebody out there knows their tech, none of the phone numbers show up on my phone bill. Whoever is doing this knows that it’s a felony and he’s hiding…(And) there’s somebody out there who knows who’s doing this. Give me a call…”
