Muhammad Ali, a boxing legend, political activist, global humanitarian, died Friday surrounded by his family at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, a family spokesman said.
“After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74,” his spokesman Bob Gunnell said.
The self-proclaimed “Greatest of All Time,” Ali Ali had been suffering from respiratory issues this week, apparently that are complicated by his Parkinson’s disease.
A funeral will be held in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
